THE ART OF CARLOS LINARES

The Quinta´s Ghost is a short animated film that explores the creative process of Francisco de Goya and the relationship with his work, the result of personal and social traumas, from a horror genre perspective.

Focused as a gothic ghost story, the film puts the house in the leading role, making it the only spectator of the painter’s creative process, as he tries to understand who he is and, above all, why all these ghosts, witches and demons accompany him.

“Falling ill in his new home, Francisco de Goya is haunted by the ghosts of his past. Haunted by visitors and in a declining state of health, Goya paints black paintings as a last resort to rid himself of his visions, paying the price of his sanity and, almost, his life.”

The film is headed by James A. Castillo and is being produced by Illusorium Studios.
